Some general tips
Once you have installed your AVG application, let it update by connecting to the internet. The program will update it’s virus definition list as well as check for any updates on the program itself. It will check for updates on a regular basis and automatically install it without the need for your intervention. After the first update it is recommended that you do a complete scan of you pc. Also scan your memory sticks as virii can copy themselves onto them and autorun when the memory stick is inserted into a pc. AVG also check your incoming and outgoing emails and certifies it. That function adds a AVG text file attachment and/or adds a extra line of text to show that the email has been checked.
